Stay Tuned....

I've been a little behind on updating my blog... between having holiday shoots to do/edit and my own family's festivities, I've been a bit busy to say the least!!! Expect updates from the holidays and such in the next day or so as well as some awesome deals for 2010! Just because the holiday season is over doesn't mean the deals are ending!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and here's to a wonderful New Year!!

Auntie's boy...

I'm a sucker for little kids that love their Aunty ;) Orrin and his Aunt came to me for pictures of him and the two of them. What a great way to seal a VERY important bond. I had lots of fun with this adorable little guitar hero! He was very easy to get along with and I hope to see him again soon!

I know they're mine but...

When I got a good chunk of my holiday props, I coerced the kiddos to be the first guinea pigs of the season. I was pleasantly surprised with the results, though they're not quite what I'm looking for for my own holiday cards yet ;)

References and Recommendations

Until I really figure out the best place for letters like this, I will just continue updating this post. Please check back for more :)

Jillian, I want to thank you so much for our family photos. I am so thrilled with the results from our sessions! I have taken my 1 year old daughter, Alexis to many different photo studios and never left with a photo where she was smiling. Not only did you capture pictures of Alexis smiling, but in one specific photo she was turned toward the camera and her face was just aglow. It is by far the best picture I have ever seen of my daughter. I am just so pleased at all of the great photos you captured of our family. We have many options in printing photos as there were so many nice shots of the kids together, separately and the 4 of us all together.

The thing that separated you from other photographers we have worked with is your approach to photography. You were very approachable and made all of us very comfortable. I was just so shocked that on several occasions my normally shy and timid 1 year old was seen walking over to you without coaching to see what you were doing.

I am so happy that we hired you to capture the precious moments of Alexis' first birthday party. There were several moments that you captured that I missed during the party. It was amazing to be able to see the special moment that my husband Peter and Alexis had while he was washing the leftover cake off her hands. It was so nice to enjoy the party and spend time with Alexis and our family knowing that you were there to capture these once in a lifetime pictures. You only get one "shot" to take pictures of your child eating cake and ice cream for the first time in their lives. You well documented with many photos that Alexis did not smear the cake all over herself as we expected, but rather enjoyed every bite of cake.

I would not hesitate to recommend you to my friends as a photographer. I get so many comments on the photos you took. I am so excited to send out our family Christmas cards this year featuring some of the photos you took. I look forward to working with you again in the future to capture the priceless moments of my children as they grow.

Thanks again, Natasha

A Family Photo Session

I was lucky to be able spend a small portion of my weekend with a beautiful family of four. On Saturday, I had the opportunity to photograph little Miss Alexis' first birthday party so that her parents could concentrate on enjoying the very special day. Those pictures will be coming next!
On Sunday I was back to take family photos. I had a great time and got so many beautiful pictures, the ones that I have posted are just a VERY few of my favorites.
Thank you so much Peter, Natasha, Max and Alexis for being such troopers on a very cold morning!

Enjoy!

Fallin' for Fall.....

It's the most gorgeous time of year around here... and there's nothing I love more than taking photographs of the beautiful trees. AND of course, my kids on our yearly apple picking adventure to Rocky Ridge Orchard in Bowdoin. While the apples were a little sparse due to some heavy winds the night before, we had fun all the same.

Enjoy!!

Holiday Cards!

Hello there! Just wanted to drop a quick line on here to inform everyone I'm planning on creating Holiday cards for people if the interest is there. You can use a photograph(s) you already have or you can, of course, book a session with me and I can include it in your bill for a VERY small fee. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have!

For Hire!!!

Well folks, I really want to start filling this blog, as well as my portfolio. This is a wonderful time of year for any type of photography. Not too hot, not too cold, and the changing colors of the trees all make for gorgeous photos. No time like the present to start thinking of Christmas cards (which I'm also thinking of producing myself, so I think I could work in a discount!)

Right now I'm currently charging only $40 for any type of photo session. This includes an unlimited amount of wardrobe changes, two hours of shooting time if necessary, no travel expenses if you're within the Bath/Brunswick/Topsham (and small outlying areas of beauty!) the opportunity for studio portraits at my home, and a photographer that is willing to do anything to get you the shots you want! At the end of your session, I will edit all photographs that I feel could use some editing, and will provide you with a CD of both the edited and unedited usable photos. After that, you may print what you like, in the amount you like.
I'm incredibly flexible and can provide references from satisfied customers at your request.

Please contact me with any questions and don't forget to view my flickr page for additional photographs.

Laura and Jackson in the belly

I had the great pleasure of photographing a gorgeous old friend of mine this Sunday. I have known Laura since middle school and we've shared many memories, but I must say this might have been the best memory yet. I was very excited to be able to do this shoot.
Laura at the time of the shoot was 34 weeks and 3 days (and definately not looking like it!) with baby Jackson. It was a gorgeous Maine day down by the water at Laura's camp, and I loved every second of it. We're so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place... it makes for some great background scenery for photos.

Thanks Laura for giving me this opportunity! We all can't wait to see just how adorable this baby is!!

Under SUPER construction!

Hi Everyone! Please bear with me while I contruct, deconstruct and work on getting this blog where I want it to be :) Check the flickr link I previously posted to see a good chunk of my work. I'm in the middle of cleaning off the camera and computer and as many of you might know, it's not easy with two kids kicking around.

Thanks

Jillian

First Official Photoshoot Post :)

I'm doing lots of self teaching with blogging and such... so bear with me :)

I had the pleasure of taking some "fly by the seat of my pants" photos of little baby Caden and his Mom and Dad. I had previously done my first maternity shoot with his Mommy so it was a great experience to be able to finally photograph the beautiful outcome of that sweet belly.
Caden was a very easy baby to photograph, even at barely 3 months old. I used plenty of natural light to compliment his sweet baby blue eyes and nothing else but a basket and a simple black sheet. I'm quite happy with the turnout.
